Eligibility:

The meet is open to middle schools located in Oakland County. Schools must follow MHSAA guidelines. A school may choose to send a boys team, girls team or both.  It is up to the school to decide who and how many athletes to register for the meet. All athletes in attendance, whether it is one athlete from the school or many, must be accompanied by at least one official representative from their school (usually the coach).

Only 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are eligible to compete.

Registration:

  • Step 1: Complete and mail in the contract along with your payment.
  • Step 2: Download the meet information.
  • Step 3: Add the meet to your calendar on athletic.net.
  • Step 4: Submit your entries on athletic.net by the deadline.

Qualifying:

With the exception of the 3200 meter run, a school may enter one athlete for each individual event regardless of their time/performance OR a school may enter two athletes for an event if both have met the additional qualifying time.  For the 3200 meter run, a school may enter one athlete if he/she has met the qualifying time OR may enter two athletes if both have met the additional qualifying time. A school may enter one 4x100 relay regardless of time.  A school may enter one 4x200, 4x400, 4x800 if the relay has met the qualifying time.

The meet is held the Thursday before the high school state track meet.
